Inauguration
As Steve Jobs once said “Design is a funny word. Some people think
design means how it looks. But of course, if you dig deeper, it’s really how it
works.” This is what Robongiers is all about, as was expressed by Zorawar Singh
Ghumman, Vice-President of the Student Council. It entails responding to
challenges faced in our daily lives by designing practical solutions. Moreover,
Robongiers challenges the thinking and creativity of young, budding minds,
encouraging them to become reflective and innovative individuals. The theme for
this year’s Robongiers is ‘Inside the Human Body’ and students will have to
respond to a range of problems and create fully functional solutions.
The School Director, Captain Rohit Sen Bajaj, warmly welcomed the
participating teams and re-iterated the importance of the STEM subjects,
especially how they make us reflective and pragmatic individuals. He declared
the Fest open. Finally, Ms. Dimpu Sharma, Middle School Principal, wished
all the participants luck with the forthcoming tasks and hoped that the
Robongiers event would be a great learning experience for all.
